The Eastern Regional Center offers the following services:
Children & Family Services
Human Services programs that provide support to families with children. These services help first-time moms prepare for birth, provide nurse home visits and additional services through the child’s first five years, and continued support to school age children and their families.
Child Day Care Assistance
The Wake County Child Care Subsidy Program provides financial assistance for parents and their child care needs. The amount of child care subsidy for each family is based on an assessment of need, income and family size. Every year Wake County receives state and federal funds to be used for subsidized child care services for its residents. We also provide information about choosing and using quality child care.
Child Protective Services
Child Protective Services protects children and enhances their well-being by supporting and strengthening families.
Nurse-Family Partnerships
Nurse-Family Partnership is a free, voluntary program that partners first-time moms with nurse home visitors. When you enroll in the program, a specially trained nurse will visit you throughout your pregnancy and until your baby turns two years old. During these visits, your caring nurse will offer the knowledge and support you need to confidently create a better life for your baby and yourself.

Medicaid is a medical assistance program that serves children, adults and families.
Medicaid will pay the medical bills for people who meet certain eligibility requirements, such as income, age or disability. Covered services include hospitalizations, physician services, medications and different levels of care in nursing and residential facilities.
