Weatherby Healthcare, a CHG Company, announced today that it plans to invest more than $7 million and create 148 new jobs in Raleigh. With this expansion, the company adds a new business unit to its North Carolina presence, while retaining 374 employees in the market.

Weatherby Healthcare is an industry leader in locum staffing solutions, helping medical facilities to fill staffing gaps and cover difficult-to-fill specialties.

“We’re thrilled to be making the move to Raleigh. We look forward to providing high-paying jobs and the best in workplace culture to Wake County residents,” said Luke Woodyard, president of Weatherby Healthcare. “We’re thankful for the opportunity to partner with both the city and county to make this transition a reality, and we look forward to joining this dynamic and engaging business community.”

Raleigh was selected for this business expansion due to the robust talent pipeline and the ability to attract the tech talent needed to fill the new jobs.

“Weatherby Healthcare has a long-standing presence in North Carolina, and we’re excited about the decision to expand and grow the company in Raleigh,” said Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin. “In addition to offering ready-to-use office space, we have a skilled workforce to support Weatherby in creating new tech jobs.”

Weatherby Healthcare will occupy 46,000 square feet in One North Hills Tower. This investment is the latest success for office real estate in Raleigh, following announcements from Jewelers Mutual Group, JT International and Audemars Piguet.

“We’re proud to welcome Weatherby Healthcare and its talented team to Wake County,” said Chair Shinica Thomas of the Wake County Board of Commissioners. “This marks our 40th economic development announcement in five years and brings the total number of jobs created to more than 11,000, proving Wake County is the place businesses want to be.”

Weatherby Healthcare joins a robust community of Wake County employers with strong commitments to diversity, equity and inclusivity and nonprofit involvement. The company has defined three guiding DEI principles drawn from core beliefs and values that have led to long-standing people-focused success and healthy business growth.
