About This Event

Join author Dr. Kathleen Duval, professor of history at UNC-Chapel Hill, to discuss her new book Native Nations: A Millennium in North American. This exciting new work covers nearly 1,000 years of Native American history, leading to the present day. For over a millennium Indigenous North Americans built huge urban cities, complex economies and rich philosophies that deeply affected European thought when colonial forces came into contact with Native tribes. To this day, the legacy of these monumental achievements continues to influence the struggle for Native sovereignty in North America.
