Owner Annual Inspections
How to Submit Inspection Reports
Stormwater Control Measures shall be inspected Annually (by June 30th each year) by the property owner, HOA, commercial site manager, etc.

Instructions for submitting Owner Annual SCM Inspection Reports (Wake County only) Municipalities are responsible for their own SCM inspections and reporting. If the inspection report is for a municipal area, please contact the appropriate local government.
- Upload the documents through the Permit Portal
- Register for an account
- Contact Staff so they can add you as a contact for the necessary permits
- Go to a permit and use Add Attachments to upload documents
- Email reports to watershedmanagement@wake.gov
- Email reports directly to the Post Construction Stormwater Staff
As Built Stormwater Package
As Built Submittal
The As Built Stormwater Package shall be submitted to the Plan Review Staff. See Watershed Management Contacts.
The submittal shall include the as built survey, completed field inspection report, photos and engineer's certification.
Upon submittal, the Post Construction Staff will inspect the stormwater devices. We are looking for consistency with the plan, as built survey, installation of the stormwater conveyances and permanent stabilization of the conveyances and SCMs.

SCM Inspections (by County Staff)
Neuse Stormwater Rules
The County is required to inspect 20% of completed stormwater control measures annually. These inspections are conducted by the Post Construction Stormwater Team. Staff are assigned a list of inspections monthly and will reach out to owners to schedule inspections and update information in our permit system.
