Wake County Courthouse
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office deputies provide support to the Wake County Justice Center and Wake County Courthouse. Deputies are tasked with providing law enforcement support in 20 district courtrooms, both on the civil and criminal levels. Deputies also cover seven criminal superior courtrooms, including Grand Jury, and four civil superior courtrooms. Sworn staff are responsible for opening and closing court for the presiding judges. Additionally, sworn staff is responsible for care and control of inmates while appearing before a judge. Deputies also write detailed reports based on any incident that occurs throughout each facility.
