Pick up a Junior Park Explorers scorecard at any Wake County park, or email jrparkexplorers@wake.gov to register by mail. Once you have a card, you are ready to go!

Participants must be between the ages of 4 and 15.

Visit each of the following Wake County parks and participate in a staff-led program, camp or special event within the course of one year (self-guided activities are not eligible). Ask the staff member present to stamp your scorecard, and you’ll take home a collectible park pin!

• American Tobacco Trail
• Blue Jay Point County Park
• Crowder County Park
• Harris Lake County Park
• Historic Oak View County Park
• Historic Yates Mill County Park
• Lake Crabtree County Park

Take a selfie (or have someone snap your photo) with a manmade or natural feature specific to each of the following locations. Then email it to jrparkexplorers@wake.gov and mark your scorecard to indicate completion. Pins will be awarded at the end of the challenge.

• Green Hills County Park
• Robertson Millpond Preserve
• Sandy Pines Preserve
• Turnipseed Nature Preserve

Attend a park program to get a stamp!

The GoApe course at Blue Jay Point County Park and the Boat Rental Facility at Lake Crabtree County Park are now also Junior Park Explorer locations!

When your scorecard is complete, email a picture of it to jrparkexplorers@wake.gov and let us know which park you'd like to visit to collect your prize — a Wake County Parks daypack — and your additional pins.
