Visitors on the Autism Spectrum
We welcome families with children and adults on the autism spectrum. The following resources will help you plan for an enjoyable visit.
Robertson Millpond Preserve is an 85-acre site with cypress swamp wetlands, forests and historic structures with lots of different opportunities to learn about and engage with Wake County’s natural areas and wildlife. Preparing for your visit a few days beforehand can make for a more manageable and enjoyable experience.

Visitors Of Different Physical Abilities
Robertson Millpond Preserve is an ADA accessible location. The parking lots and short hiking trail on site meet ADA criteria. Onsite there is an ADA boat launch for easy access onto the millpond kayaking trail. Also, our fishing piers and picnic table locations are wheelchair accessible.
