Naloxone Kits

Free overdose rescue kits are prioritized for people who use drugs and their families. While NCHRC would like to distribute free overdose rescue kits to everyone, the realities of a limited budget require NCHRC to prioritize people with a high risk for overdose. (If NCHRC is low on supplies, they will prioritize active injection drug users.)

Explains the Good Samaritan Law/Naloxone Access law in North Carolina.  

North Carolina Good Samaritan/Naloxone Access Law  
Describes how North Carolina law protects people who ask the police, 911 or EMS for help because they or someone else is having a drug overdose. 

North Carolina Harm Reduction's Community Based Overdose Prevention Project
Describes distribution of naloxone to prevent drug overdose, groups at risk who can get naloxone overdose prevention kits at no charge, North Carolina's 911 Good Samaritan/Naloxone access law related to drug overdose and pharmacies in North Carolina that sell naloxone. Also provides overdose prevention information and resources. 

Syringe Exchange
