Wake County More Than A Job NC Program (Formerly Food and Nutrition Services Employment & Training) program connects FNS recipients with services and resources that will help them find, get and keep a job or, if already working, a better job.

Services available
Job Search Training
Teaches you the best way to search for a job; provides you with connections to help you get a job; helps you develop the tools you need to be successful (resume, interview skills, etc.).
Hands-on Training
Connects you with employers and organizations where you can learn new skills trained by recognized industry professionals and prepare to enter a new occupation.
Vocational Training
Upgrades your skills to fit the labor market so you have the skills that employers are looking for while you work with an Employment Counselor to improve your job search skills.
Job Retention Services
For those who come through the program and become employed.
Who can participate and why should you?
Individuals who are emotionally, physically and mentally ready, willing and able to work; have an active/current Food and Nutrition Services case with Wake County Health and Human Services (but are not receiving benefits through Work First) and are above the age of 16 may be eligible for services through this program.
The job market is tough, so the More Than A Job NC Program is here to help! Many companies in Wake County are ready to hire, but they need workers who are trained to do the jobs that are available and are ready to make a great impression with their job search skills from day one.
