Conference Center
The Wake County Commons Building houses meeting space for County and County sponsored or hosted community events.
Eligibility for Public Use:
Educational and public service programs eligible to use the facilities must fall within one of the following categories:
- Sponsored Program: Programs organized, sponsored and conducted by an internal Wake County agency or department or an administrative/elected official of Wake County Government.
- Co-sponsored Program: Programs jointly sponsored by an internal department or an administrative/elected official of Wake County Government with an external, non-county, not-for-profit agency.
- Hosted Program: Programs for which an administrative/elected official of Wake County Government acts as host, for example, international, national, regional, state and local meetings or professional organizations.
Criteria for Use:
- The program offered must have a clearly identifiable educational component.
- The program must be related to public service and be consistent with Wake County's mission.
- The program must be sponsored, co-sponsored or hosted by a Wake County agency/dept. or an elected/administrative official of Wake County Government.
There will be a payment required for usage of the facility.

Construction and Renovations
The Minor Capital Improvement Program (CIP) process was established in 2005 and is managed by General Services Administration (GSA). It was developed in order to:

Flood Control
The Construction Services work unit maintains and operates 10 flood control structures in the Crabtree Creek Watershed in conjunction with U.S. Department of Agriculture; manages 50 storm water control measures (SCM) across Wake County; maintains and assesses hard surfaces; supports the County's open space program and land stewardship initiatives.
Occupational Safety
The GSA Director serves as the ADA Coordinator for Wake County and is charged with providing reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities as directed by Title I of the Americans with Disabilities act.

Road Name Signage
This program designs, fabricates, installs and maintains road name signs (street signs) within all of Wake County’s unincorporated areas and all municipal extraterritorial jurisdictions (not corporate limits) except for Raleigh, Cary and Wake Forest. Road name signs identify roads and streets for 911 emergency services and general public navigation.
